A fluently bilingual lawyer, Afton advises private clients on their residential real estate purchases and sales and on their estate planning solutions.  She also acts for small business owners on their incorporation, shareholder agreements, commercial leases and asset and share transactions. Her clients appreciate her approachable nature, energy and commitment to doing all that she can to meet their needs.

Afton’s dedication to helping others is reflected in her background of military service, work experience and community involvement. She learnt first-hand the importance of listening to clients and meeting their needs while working in sales during university. She went on to lead customer service training seminars in the hospitality sector.

Afton followed her family into military service after university and she continues to serve as a reservist in the infantry. She is an avid rugby player, coach and referee and actively gives her time in support of a number of community organizations including the uOttawa Gee-gees Women’s Rugby team, the Ottawa Irish Rugby Club, the Cameron Highlanders Association and the Upper Ottawa Valley High School Athletic Association (Girls Rugby).

She is also on the Mentor Committee for “Discover Year”, a career and leadership development program that helps young adults build essential skills through experiential learning, mentorship and interactive education.
