Brent is an associate in the firm’s litigation group, with a focus on employment law. He advises employers and employees in matters involving wrongful dismissal, discrimination, and harassment in the workplace. He has represented clients at the Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and in private arbitrations.
 
Brent has an in-depth knowledge of the statutes that govern Ontario’s workplaces. He regularly advises businesses and workers on their rights and obligations under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, the Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. He also has extensive experience in drafting and reviewing employment agreements and workplace policies.
