Kelly Santini LLP is seeking an experienced associate to join our growing construction litigation group. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in litigation, and a solid background in construction and/or commercial law, including lien claims, breach of contract, negligence, and other construction-related disputes. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your practice with the full support of an established firm by confidently managing a file load independently and assisting on larger more complex matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years post call experience with a strong focus on construction and/or commercial disputes
• Law degree from an accredited law school and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
• Proven ability to handle contract disputes, negligence claims, and other construction-related legal issues, with knowledge of construction lien matters an asset
• Effective client and practice management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid analytical, legal research and drafting skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong business development skills and a proactive approach to networking and client acquisition
• Contributes positively to workplace culture, building positive working relationships across the firm
• Sound legal ethics and professional conduct
• Commitment to upholding firm values, including exceptional client service, community engagement and the advancement of diversity and inclusion
