Andy Scott is a leading NHL player agent and lawyer, recognized for advising clients in high-stakes negotiations where experience, strategy, and sound judgment are critical. Since 2008, Andy has represented many of the top professional hockey players through his role with Octagon Sports, one of the world’s premier sports agencies. He has negotiated player contracts, endorsement agreements, and other commercial transactions representing hundreds of millions of dollars in aggregate value, earning the trust of elite athletes who wish to maximize earning potential.
As a certified player agent with the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), Andy provides strategic advice throughout every stage of a player’s career. In addition to negotiating NHL contracts and commercial opportunities, he advises athletes and their families on every issue that relates to their hockey career. His extensive knowledge of the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement, salary cap, and the business of professional hockey allows him to provide comprehensive advice both on and off the ice.

He advises entrepreneurs and business owners on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder matters, corporate reorganizations, franchising, succession planning, and complex commercial transactions. Outside of his practice, he serves as Co-Chair of Martini Madness, an annual fundraiser supporting Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
