Lisa is a partner in the firm’s litigation group with a focus defending bodily injury, property damage and subrogated claims on behalf of Canadian and international insurers and provincial municipalities. Lisa’s practice also includes commercial and banking litigation. A fluently bilingual litigator, Lisa is often asked to act on files throughout Eastern and Northern Ontario where her ability to work seamlessly in English and French is a valued asset for her risk management clients. Since joining the firm as an articling student in 2002, she has appeared on behalf of clients before the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals.

Lisa is also a qualified mediator and has been mediating bodily injury, property, construction, employment and estate matters since 2010.   She is a natural communicator who constantly seeks solutions to disputes by combining her years’ of experience with an innate ability to connect with clients and the other parties involved in a conflict.

Lisa served on the Board of Directors of USLAW Network Inc for four years, is a frequent speaker on litigation, insurance and mediation law and has taught Insurance Law at the University of Ottawa law school. She is also an active supporter of the local community and leads many of Kelly Santini’s community initiatives. For the past twelve years she has co-chaired the Special Olympics Festival Breakfast, a major fundraiser supported by the Ottawa business community and can often be found organizing the firm’s participation in a wide variety of fundraising activities, usually involving some form of physical fitness!

Lisa was also a competitor in the 2018 Fight for the Cure charity boxing event where she fought in the first female bout for the event in Ottawa.  Lisa is also the Chair of the Ottawa Gaels Gaelic Football and Camogie club as well as a member of the ladies’ football and camogie teams.
