For more than five decades, Ron has helped individuals, families, and business owners across Ottawa navigate many of life’s most important legal decisions. Today, his practice is focused on estate planning, estate administration, and trusts. He helps individuals and families prepare for the future with thoughtful advice, practical solutions, and careful planning tailored to their circumstances. Ron takes the time to understand each client’s goals, puts people at ease, and is committed to helping them protect what matters most.
Over the course of his career, Ron has prepared thousands of wills and assisted countless families with powers of attorney, trusts, probate applications, and estate administration. Whether preparing a first will, updating an existing estate plan, or guiding an estate trustee through the administration process, he provides clear, practical advice at every stage. His broad legal background also enables him to identify issues beyond the estate plan itself and work closely with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals when more complex planning is required.
Ron has served clients since 1973 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1984. His commitment to service extends beyond his legal practice through decades of volunteer leadership in the Ottawa community. He has served on the Foundation Board of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, as President of the Board of Directors of the Good Companions Seniors’ Centre, and as a past President of the Rotary Club of West Ottawa.
