Business Owner Takes Full Control of Company After Dispute with Partner

JP Zubec was retained by a fifty percent owner of an Ottawa-based mid-sized company when the client’s relations with the only other owner of the company (and its founder) broke down. The founder’s actions included barring our client from the workplace. In an application before Ontario Superior Court of Justice, JP obtained an order requiring our client to be reinstated with back pay, and for the founder to sell his stake in the company to our client at fair market value.  The amount eventually paid for the shares was reduced to account for money taken from the company by the founder.
