Lisa Langevin Business Woman of the Year Finalist
Congratulation to Lisa Langevin who has been named as one of three finalists for the Business Woman of the Year in the professional category. Lisa joined Kelly Santini LLP as an articling student in 2001 and became a full partner in the firm earlier this year. She is a bilingual litigator and mediator with a focus on commercial disputes and banking litigation including debt recovery and insolvency matters. She also acts on insurance defence matters including bodily injury and property damage as well as prosecuting subrogated claims on behalf of insurers.
Lisa’s professional accomplishments are only a small part of her active life. She is the mother of two and step-mother of three, an active athlete and dedicated volunteer in her community. For the past 12 years, she has co-chaired the Special Olympics Festival Breakfast, a major fundraiser supported by the Ottawa business community which has raised over $300,000 for local athletes.
For many in the firm, Lisa has been a role model and mentor for managing a professional career and family life.
“I’ve spent the last 10 years watching Lisa run a busy legal practice, build a mediation practice and manage a family. The whole time I’ve been in awe of how she keeps it together, always smiling and always happy to stop and talk about work or family.” – Samantha Iturregui
The Business Woman of the Year will be named at gala dinner on April 20th.
