Kelly Santini LLP’s Mitch Kitagawa has taken on several new leadership roles within Ontario’s legal profession, building on his work as an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).

In August, Mitch was appointed Co-Chair of the LSO’s Equity and Indigenous Affairs Committee and Vice-Chair of its Governance Committee. He also continues to serve on the Law Society’s Paralegal Standing Committee and Strategic Planning and Advisory Committee.

In September, Mitch was also appointed to the Board of Directors of LAWPRO, the professional liability insurer for Ontario lawyers.

Mitch was elected by his peers as a Regional Bencher for Ottawa East in 2023. As a Bencher, he is part of the governing body responsible for setting policy and making decisions related to the regulation of Ontario’s lawyers and paralegals.

These new appointments reflect Mitch’s continued involvement in the governance of the legal profession and his commitment to contributing to the issues affecting lawyers, paralegals and the public they serve.
